The Ted Lapidus brand was formed by Edmond “Ted” Lapidus, a Parisian fashion designer who was born to Russian-Jewish immigrant parents in 1929. He started the company at the young age of 22 after completing an apprenticeship with Christian Dior. The Lapidus brand was known to offer a unisex style that was extremely popular in the 60s and the brand is often credited to integrating blue jeans into mainstream fashion. The couture division of Lapidus ended in 2000, after which the brand focused exclusively on fragrances and accessories. There are now a wide range of Ted Lapidus fragrances for men and women.
